SPRINGFIELD – The SeniorNet Computer Center at the Springfield Jewish Community Center continues to offer help monthly to adults to learn new or enhance  computer skills.  New classes begin May 2.

May 2- 11, Mon & Wed        9-11 a.m.

Computer Basics for Beginners: 8 hours (2 hours twice a week for 2 weeks)

Learn the vocabulary of computers, how to use the mouse, and basic word processing.

May 24- June 1,  Mon & Wed         9-11 a.m.

Word Part 2:   8 hours (2 hours twice a week for 2 weeks)

A continuation of word processing for those who have completed Word Part 1. Learn about  tabs and tables, page layout, mail merge, formatting, and headers and footers.

May 9 – 18, Mon & Wed         1-3 p.m.

Exploring Windows   8 hours (2 hours twice a week for 2 weeks)

Master your computer!  Learn how to work with Windows.  Personalize the desktop, learn about the Control Panel, store and discover your files and folders,  handle your software and more.

May 31 – June 23, Tues & Thurs      1-3 p.m.

Photo Editing  16 hours (2 hours twice a week for 4 weeks) Using Photoshop Elements 8, learn to edit scanned and digital photos.  Eliminate dark photos, crop to your preferred size, remove scratches and more.

Minimum number for all classes is 5 students. The course will be cancelled and/or rescheduled if there are not 5 paid registrants. Call (413) 732-1336 for information on available spots in May.
