Pre- Passover Party at JCC
SPRINGFIELD – The Springfield Jewish Community Center will hold a pre-Passover Family Pizza Party on Sunday, April 17 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The family celebration will include food and music! — Pizza, salad and desserts await you and your family this last night before Passover, 1160 Dickinson St., Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Springfield JCC, or by calling (413) 739-4715. $5 per person;children under 2 free; $20 per fam. of 4

Community Seders at LYA
LONGMEADOW – Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy will  hold  two community Seders this Passover at  LYA, 1148 Converse Street in Longmeadow.  The first Seder will be held on Monday night, April 18, 2011 at 8 p.m. and will be hosted by Rabbi Noach Kosofsky and family.  Rabbi and Mrs. Chaim Kosofsky and family will lead the second Seder, on Tuesday night, April 19, at 8 p.m.
Participants at an LYA seder will enjoy singing holiday songs, eating round matzo and drinking the four cups of wine.  There will be interactive plays, costumes and activities that will involve people of all ages.  In addition to being interactive, each seder will be complete with the traditional foods and items that are used at the Passover Seder.  Hagadas will be available in Hebrew, English and Russian.  Dinner will include gefilte fish, chicken soup, chicken, potato kugel, salads and dessert.  The cost for one Seder is $15.00 an adult, $7.50 a child with a $45.00 family price.  Payment is requested before the start of the holiday.  The community is invited to attend one or both of the Seders.  Reduced prices are available according to need.

Seder under the Stars in Amherst
AMHERST – Chabad of the Four Colleges will hold “Seders under the Stars” on both April 18 and 19, led by Rabbi Shmuel Kravitsky; The seder will be held the first night at 8 p.m. and the second night at 8:30 p.m. on Amherst Town Common. Interactive Seder in Westfield
WESTFIELD – Ahavas Achim in Westfield will present an interactive community seder on Tuesday, April 19 from 5:30- 9 p.m., the second night of Passover. The seder will be led by Rabbi Joyce Galaski. All members of the community who are interested in attending are welcome to attend. It will be held at the Second Congregational Church, 487 Western Ave. (next to Westfield State University). Freedom talk at Sinai
SPRINGFIELD – Rabbi Mark Dov Shapiro will give a talk, “Let My People Go,” at the Sinai Temple Senior luncheon on Thursday, April 21 at noon.
