Bone Marrow Drive for Sick Baby

NEW YORK – A bone marrow donor drive will be held on Sunday, June 5 at the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan, 334 Amsterdam Ave. at 76th Street. The drive is for a one-year-old girl named  Ayelet Poupko, who was recently diagnosed with a rare bone marrow failure and needs a transplant in order to survive. For more info and to watch a video of her, go to: www.getswabbed.org. Over the past few weeks, numerous celebrities have offered their support, raising awareness for this baby: http://bit.ly/celebs4ayelet.

Those that cannot make it to the drive can register online and a swab kit will be mailed directly to them at no cost – http://bit.ly/register4ayelet. Swabbing your cheek and registering may save Ayelet or another patient in need.

“Please help us find a match for little Ayelet and for so many others who are in need of a lifesaving act. We are beyond grateful for this help!” said Ayelet’s mother, Hindy Poupko.
