Steven (Hoch) Hochberg

Steven (Hoch) Hochberg of Agawam, died at home on July 15. He was the widower of Sharon (Kaye) Hochman. Born in Springfield, he was the son of the late Alice (Orlen) and Solomon Hochberg. He attended Classical High School and Vesper George School of Art in Boston. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He owned Hampden Pipe and Supply of Springfield, Baum Auto of Chicopee and Pinehurst Golf of Delray Beach, Fla. He was one of the founding members of Twin Hills Country Club. In his retirement years, he volunteered at Baystate Medical Center’s 3300 Main Street Building. He is survived by two daughters, Jill Stewart and her husband, Jim, of Longmeadow, and Wendy Leiweke and her husband, Dan, of Bellingham, Wash.; his grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, Todd and Sydney; a brother, Bruce Hochberg of Longmeadow; several nephews and cousins; and dear friend, Patricia Brunault of South Hadley.
