Rachel’s Table ‘Foodraiser’ Rescheduled

SPRINGFIELD – Join Rachel’s Table for a shopping contest on Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Longmeadow Big Y, from 10 a.m. to noon. Now in its fifth year, the Food-raiser is a friendly competition in which shoppers try to buy the most food for the least money. All the food that is purchased will be donated directly to Providence Ministries and Open Pantry.
The Food-raiser, originally scheduled for Sunday Nov. 6, had to be postponed due to the storm. New England Orthopedic Surgeons is once again the premier sponsor for this year’s Rachel’s Table Food-raiser. The NEOS sponsorship will allow more teenagers to participate in the event, which provides thousands of dollars worth of food to our agencies.   Teams of 1-4 people will compete to save the most money using coupons, Big Y specials and Big Y coins.
The $5 entrance fee includes a t-shirt. (Entrance fees are tax-deductible contributions to Rachel’s Table.)  Prizes will be awarded for the most money saved in various categories.
To participate, contact (413) 733-0084 or drubenstein@jewishwesternmass.org
