Sylvia “Sonnee” (Goldart) Sheldon, 94, of Clermont, Fla., formerly of Springfield, died Dec. 12. She came to Springfield from Russia in 1922 and lived there until 2008. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1938 and was a pharmacist until 1970. She co-owned Scotti Sheldon Studios. She was a secretary and president of Springfield Museum Docents, volunteered for Rachel’s Table, and was head of the caring committee for Temple Beth El. She was a life master in bridge. She is survived by two children, Dr. Lee Sheldon of Melbourne, Fla and Shana Spooner of Clermont, Fla; and three grandchildren, Daniel Sheldon, Stephanie Wintercorn and Dr. Matthew Sheldon.
