Mazel Tov to Create a Jewish Legacy Participants

SPRINGFIELD — Several organizations in Create a Jewish Legacy of Western Massachusetts achieved their second year goals in a number of new legacy commitments. Receiving a $5,000 incentive award from the Jewish Endowment Foundation and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation are Legacy Team leaders Klara Grape of Beit Ahavah in Northampton; Amy Nee  of the  Greater Springfield Chapter of Hadassah; and Dr. Stephen Levine of Congregation Sons of Zion in Holyoke.

The 19 organizations participating in Create a Jewish Legacy have secured 693 commitments since June 2008, with an estimated value of $17,462,050.  These are largely after-lifetime gifts that will help sustain Jewish organizations throughout the Valley for generations to come. Gifts already received through this program total $269,600.
