LYA’s Ben Muhlmann Makes it to State Geography Bee

LONGMEADOW – Ben Muhlmann, an eighth grader at Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy will compete in the 2012 Massachusetts National Geographic Bee at Worcester State University on Friday, March 30. A bee was held at LYA for students in grades 4-8 and as the school winner Ben took a written qualifying test, which was submitted to the National Geographic Society, scoring  among the top 100 students in the state of Massachusetts.  The state winner will receive $100, the “Complete National Geographic on DVD”, and a trip to Washington D.C., where he or she will represent Massachusetts in the national finals at National Geographic Society headquarters, May 22-24, 2012.
