AMHERST – Israeli performer Efrat Ben Zur and her band will perform in concert, Thursday, Oct. 11, at
7:30 p.m. at the Yiddish Book Center in Amherst.
Earlier this year Ben Zur, an acclaimed Israeli singer and actress, released her new album, “Robin” based on poems of Emily Dickinson.
“Presented with the opportunity to play in the Pioneer Valley, Efrat expressed great excitement to perform on Emily Dickinson’s home turf,” says Michael Paysnick, executive director of the Springfield Jewish Community Center. “This collaboration among several organizations also helps promote Israeli arts and culture, which is to be enjoyed by everyone.”
Ben Zur is an acclaimed Israeli singer and actress who graduated from Nissan Nativ’s prestigious acting studio. She is a leading actress in Gesher Theatre and has appeared in various films and hit TV series.
Presenting partners of the concert include the Springfield Jewish Community Center, the Jewish Community of Amherst, the Boston Jewish Music Festival, the Emily Dickinson Museum, and the Yiddish Book Center.
