BOSTON – The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has named Pearl-Anne Margalit its new director of Major Gifts in New England. Margalit will be responsible for ADL development efforts in the League’s five-state New England region.
Prior to joining ADL, Margalit served nine years as associate executive and campaign director of development at the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts. She also was a key senior staff member at the National Yiddish Book Center in Amherst for 14 years where she served as director of special gifts and conference director. During her tenure she helped raise funds for the Book Center’s permanent home.
“Pearl-Anne successfully brings people together to form a shared community of respect, in line with ADL’s mission and goals,” said Derrek L. Shulman, ADL New England Regional Director. “Pearl-Anne has long exemplified the very best in leadership and management skills within diverse organizations, and is the perfect person to fill this position at ADL.”
Margalit holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Library Science from the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and has completed continuing education courses at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
