AMHERST – Professor Yehudah Mirsky will be the guest speaker at the Yitzhak Rabin Annual Lecture at the Jewish Community of Amherst on Sunday, Nov. 4 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. JCA is located at 742 Main St.
Prof. Mirsky, a professor in the department of Near Eastern and Judaic Studies at Brandeis University, is an ordained rabbi and has a law degree from Yale and a PhD in religion from Harvard. His talk will be on “Religious Zionism, Ultra-Orthodoxy, and the Crisis of Secular Israel.” The respondent will be Professor Donna Divine of the Department of Middle East Studies at Smith College.
