FAGIN

Samuel Fagin, a lifelong resident of the Springfield area, died Dec. 18. He was the widower of Rhoda Norwitz Fagin. Born July 16, 1915, he graduated Commerce High School in 1933. During World War II, he worked at Pratt & Whitney building airplane engines. He founded Meadow Farms Fundraising , which operates today under 2nd &  3rd generation leadership. He was active in the Shriners’ organization and was a member of Congregation B’nai Jacob.
He is survived by a brother, Jacob Fagin of West Hartford, Conn.; three children, William Fagin of New London, Conn., Robert (Andrea) Fagin, & Patti (Robert) Bassell, all of Longmeadow; six grand-children; and 4 great-grandchildren.
