SPRINGFIELD – Jewish Family Service will present a free workshop “Legal and Financial Planning: What elders and caregivers need to know!” on Thursday, Feb. 14 from 10:30 a.m. to noon in Jewish Family Service’s Community Room, 1160 Dickinson St. Springfield.
Attorney Todd C. Ratner, who practices estate planning and elder law at Bacon Wilson, PC. will cover topics such as: ways you can protect your assets; the importance of having a will; what is a durable power of attorney and who needs one?; what is a health care proxy? When is it used?; What type of insurance do I need and what will be covered?
This program is open to the public and is for elders and/or caregivers. Light refreshments will be served.
