SPRINGFIELD JCC’S FIRST ANNUAL PHOTO Contest

SPRINGFIELD – All are welcome to participate in the Springfield Jewish Community Center’s first annual photo contest and gallery. The two contest categories are Judaica – events, objects, activities or materials relating to Judaism, including people, history, or cultural heritage; and   The Natural World – animals, plants, and landscapes; geological or climatological features; or scientific processes and endeavors.
Technical quality, clarity and composition are all important, but so is a flair for the unexpected and the ability to capture a picture-perfect moment. We look forward to viewing the world through your unique lens. The Grand Prize winning photo will be the featured on Springfield JCC Tribute cards for one year.  Cash prizes will be awarded to the first-place photo in each categories.
The Size of entry must be no larger than 16” x 20”, edge to edge.  Entries must be gallery framed and ready to hang.  Drop your photo off at the Springfield JCC, 1160 Dickinson St, Springfield, MA 01106 between Feb.  13 and Feb. 15 (with completed entry form, which you can download at www.SpringfieldJCC.org or pick up at the Springfield JCC).
The fee for entry is $30.  Winners will be announced at Gallery Opening on Feb. 24.
