Lenore (Barowsky) Kingsberg, 87, of Venice, Fla., and formerly of Holyoke died Jan 17. She was the widow of Aaron Kingsberg and the wife of Dr. Morton Fisher of Venice, Fla. Born in Miami, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Adeline (Seamon) Barowsky. A Holyoke High graduate, she studied art at the Massachusetts School of Art, Mt. Holyoke College and Lyme Academy of Fine Arts. A gifted artist proficient in multiple art media, she first worked in pencil, oils and pastels. She operated a needlepoint store, Stitch N Time in South Hadley. She was also an accomplished sculptor working in bronze, stone, clay and plaster. She was a member of the Congregation Sons of Zion in Holyoke. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Myra Efron of The Villages, Fla., Nancy Kingsberg of Stamford, Conn., and Sheryl Kingsberg of Cleveland Ohio; a sister, Edith Eskenasy, of Hendersonville N.C., three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sarasota Tidewell Hospice.
