Rosalyn Gloth of Longmeadow and Boynton Beach, Fla., died at home on May 12 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was the widow of Hy Gloth. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Lena (Sworin) and Jacob Lubowitz. She graduated from Classical High School in Worcester and attended Northeastern University. For a time, she also helped her brothers run their flower business, George’s Flowers in Worcester. Roz maintained her love of flowers and gardening for the rest of her life. For many years she volunteered at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow and for Meals on Wheels. She is survived by three children, Joanne (Arthur) Rome, David Gloth, and Elaine (Edward) Merker; seven grandchildren, Jill (Raphael) Cohen, Jeffrey Markowitz, Leah Beth, Seth, Laurie, Ami and Benjamin Merker; and a great-grandson, Henry Cohen. She was predeceased by her sisters, Anne Taines and Shirley Zive, and brothers Jack, George and Murray Lubowitz.
