Rabbi Marvin Tokayer featured at Scholar in Residence Shabbat in Leominster

LEOMINSTER –  On Friday, Nov. 8, Rabbi Marvin Tokayer, author of “The Fugu Plan: The Untold Story of the Japanese and the Jews During WWII,” will be the scholar-in-residence at Congregation Agudat Achim in Leominster.  At Oneg following the 6:30 p.m. Kabbalat Shabbat services, Rabbi Tokayer will speak on “Pepper, Silk and Ivory — The Exotic Jews of China, Japan and India.”

On Saturday, Nov. 9, Rabbi Tokayer will speak on “The Heroic Escape to China and Japan During the Holocaust — The Fugu Plan” at a Kiddush luncheon following 9:30 a.m. Shabbat services at Congregation Agudat Achim.
