Dr. Harold M. “Mickey” Mackler of Deerfield Beach, Fla., formerly of Longmeadow, died Dec. 24. He was predeceased by his wife, Lois Mackler. Born and raised in Springfield, he attended Classical High School, American International College, and the University of Maryland Dental School. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army (Dental Corps) during World War II. He opened his dental practice of more than 36 years in Springfield in 1950. He was a member of the former Kodimoh Synagogue. He is survived by four children, David Mackler, and his wife, Anna, of Sunnyvale, Calif., Susan Mackler of West Springfield, Lauren Maturo and her husband, Ken Maturo, of North Port, Fla., and Richard and his wife, Heidi, of Boca Raton, Fla.; two grandchildren, Katerina and Nathan Mackler; two brothers, Lawrence Mackler and his wife, Miriam, of Longmeadow, and Charles Mackler and his wife, Rosalyn, of Delray Beach, Fla.
