WORCESTER – Worcester’s Latino-Jewish Roundtable and its community partners, the Worcester State University Latino Education Institute, the Jewish Federation of Central Mass, and Centro Las Americas, are collaborating to present “What Do Religion and Culture Have to Do With Politics? Hear What Worcester’s Latino and Jewish Politicians Have to Say.” The program will take place on Wednesday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center, 633 Salisbury St.
Sitting on the panel are State Senator Harriette Chandler, former Worcester Mayor Jordan Levy, City Councilors Sarai Rivera and Mo Bergman, School Committee Member Hilda Ramirez, and former City Councilor Juan Gomez. The panelists will discuss how their religious and ethnic backgrounds have influenced their feelings about, and participation in, public service.
