SPRINGFIELD – Approximately 85 women and men attended the Greater Springfield Chapter of Hadassah’s Donor Brunch on Sunday, April 27 at Chez Josef in Agawam.
Anne Robinson, who recently turned 90, was honored for her many years of dedicated volunteer work for Hadassah. During her 50 years of involvement, Robinson has been responsible for selling countless trees in Israel, Hadassah cards and certificates, and more to raise money for the organization.
The theme of the fundraiser was “Heart Health and Graceful Aging,” and featured a panel discussion of experts who discussed current trends for maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle and living a long and healthy life. They offered many valuable tips and suggestions regarding nutrition, exercise, and social activities, based on years of research.
Approximately $16,000 was raised through donations and a silent auction during the event.
