Dr. Philip J. Cohen, 91, of Agawam, died July 1 at home. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie (Rednor) Cohen. He was born and raised in Springfield, where he was a graduate of Classical High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Massachusetts State College, now known as UMass, and received his Dental degree from the NYU School of Dentistry. He practiced in Springfield for over 50 years. He served in the Army during World War II and in the Air Force during the Korean War with the rank of captain. He was a member of many civic organizations. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner, a member of Temple Beth El, and a charter member of Twin Hills Country Club. He is survived by four sons, David (Barbara), Dr. Steven (Jeanne Rosenberger), Richard, and Alan; and two grandchildren, Daniel and Dustin. He was preceased by a sister, Lorraine Fox.
