SPRINGFIELD, Mass.— The Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts is hosting an Israel Solidarity Rally to Thursday, July 24 from 5-6 p.m. at the Springfield JCC, located at 1160 Dickinson St., in partnership with local synagogues and agencies.
Deputy Consul General Ronit Nudelman-Perl will provide an update on the latest developments in Israel and Operation Protective Edge. Consul Nudelman-Perl was appointed to serve at the Consulate General of Israel to New England in July 2010. She is a career diplomat who has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for nearly twenty years. She was born and raised in Hadera, Israel.
During her military service, Nudelman-Perl worked in strategic planning for her combat unit and actively took part in combat engineering. She attended Hebrew University in Jerusalem where she graduated with honors and received a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology. In 1992, she was accepted into the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s prestigious Diplomatic Cadet’s Course.
During her time in the Ministry, she worked extensively with MASHAV- Israel’s Agency for International Development and Cooperation. She has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Economic Office in Jerusalem, served as Chief of Staff to Israel’s Liaison Office in Morocco and served as Deputy Chief of Mission to the Embassy of Israel in Romania.
