Rose Beren, 86, of Worcester, died Jan. 25, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Annie (Magnet) Hymans. She was the wife of Eliot Beren for 67 years. She grew up in Dorchester, moving with her family to Worcester in 1958. She was the administrative assistant and receptionist at St. Cyr Salon in Worcester for over 30 years. She volunteered at Rachel’s Table for close to 20 years and she also volunteered by reading for the blind. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Ann (Caplin) Koenig of Windsor, Conn., and Sandi Beren Mahoney and her husband Tom “Moe” of Framingham; four grandchildren, Jenn (Caplin) Roulier and her husband, Rob, Josh Caplin and his wife, Kate, Kara Mahoney Robinson and her husband, Jeff, and Eric B. Mahoney and his wife, Ilyse; seven great-grandchildren, Jake, Zack, Ryan, Rachel, Hannah, Lily and Ari; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Harvey Koenig; and three brothers, Max, Meyer “Mike” and Murray Hymans.
