Celebrate Good Deeds Day in Central Mass.

WORCESTER – PJ Library of the Jewish Federation of Central Mass., in partnership with the Worcester and Boroughs JCCs, will celebrate the international event of Good Deeds Day on March 15.

On this one day, an estimated two million hours of volunteerism worldwide will occur. Good Deeds Day sets out to prove what a positive impact we can all have on the lives of others and the world as a whole. Good Deeds Day will take place from 4-6 p.m. at the Worcester JCC auditorium with participants coming together to create gift bags of children’s pajamas, toothbrushes and toothpaste for the Department of Children and Families to benefit foster children throughout the Central Mass. area, followed by pizza, schmoozing and PJ Book-Swap. Bring any new or gently used pajamas for kids ranging from size newborn – adult XL (they need adult sizes for teens). If you are unable to attend and want to do your part, drop off bins will be set up for PJ’s and personal hygiene items (e.g. diapers, wipes, soap, deodorant) in various locations including the Boroughs and Worcester JCC’s, CC Lowell and synagogues throughout the area.
