WORCESTER – On Sunday, June 14, Ida Rotman celebrated her 102nd birthday in Worcester with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members. Ida has three sons, Barry, Steve, and Bernie, eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. A longtime resident of Worcester, she and her late husband, Murray, were the founders of Rotman’s Furniture and Carpet. Today, Ida lives on her own in Lake Worth, Fla., and loves to play bridge, read, do crossword puzzles, and meet with family and friends. Held on Flag Day, Ida’s son Bernie called his mother’s birthday celebration a “high-flying simcha of great joy and thanksgiving.”
