Lillian (Sugarman) Levine, 92, of Enfield, Conn., died Jan. 17 at Baystate Medical Center. She was the widow of Irving Levine. Born in Gardner, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Minnie Sugarman. She was a graduate of the High School of Commerce. At the age of 41, she started college, receiving a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from AIC, a Master’s in Psychology from Springfield College, and a certificate of advanced graduate studies from AIC. She was a teacher of 5th grade at the Chapin Street School in Ludlow for 22 years. She was a member of Temple Beth El, the Mass. Teacher’s Association and the Jewish Nursing Home. She is survived by three children, Scott Levine and his wife, Alice Geller, Robert Levine and his wife, Gina, and Sheree Levine; her grandchildren, Kate, Sarah, William, Judah, Ezra, David, and Maya; and her nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Sidney Sugarman, Esther Millman, Frieda Friedland, and Samuel Sugarman.
