BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Some 3,000 women from 87 countries attended the International Conference of Shluchos (female emissaries) earlier this month at Chabad-Lubavitch Headquarters in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Sessions during the five-day conference included discussion of topics like Raising a Large Family, Mental Health Issues, Events Marketing, Understanding Troubled Relationships, and Inclusion. A conference within the conference was held for Hebrew school and preschool directors. There was also a series of special sessions for the 240 women serving in leadership positions at college campuses in the United States and abroad, like Raising a Family on Campus, and Chabad House on a Budget.
“I was so inspired by the lectures and workshops, but more than that, it was an honor to spend time with other like-minded women from so many disparate countries and cultures who are part of a worldwide project inspired by the Lubavitcher Rebbe,” explained Chani Fogelman of Chabad of Central Mass. “We were empowered to bring that energy back to our own communities.”
