LONGMEADOW – A crowd of 140 were in the audience at Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy’s annual Talent Show.

Acts included singing, puppetry, gymnastics, comedy and drumming. The talented performers also included parents, staff and LYA students.

The Talent Show is an annual fundraiser for LYA’s Israel Experience for its middle school student, who are currently fund raising for their Israel Experience 2017.

Preschool student Schneur Helfen entertained the crowd with jokes.

A highlight of this year’s Talent Show was the 7th & 8th grade boys’ rendition of “Take Me Out of the Ball Game.” The students worked closely with their Language Arts and History teacher, Miss Lewis. In baseball costume, the boys thoroughly entertained the crowd with a song about why they should not be allowed to play the game.

“This is what the Talent Show is all about,” remarked Rochel Leah Kosofsky, coordinator of the LYA Israel Experience and the Talent Show.  “At LYA we pride ourselves on providing students and staff a warm environment in which to share their enthusiasm for school, as well as their creativity and talents with the community.”

CAP: “Take Me Out of The Ball Game” sung by Binyamin Fenster, Naftali Fenster, Moshe Gesin, Shalom Tzvi Helfen, Yossi Scott, Mendel Gottlieb and Menashe Fenster.
