Purim Extravaganza at BI

BI purim star wars

Rabbi Aviva and Ari Fellman – and a few Jedi warriors — all decked out in Star Wars attire.

WORCESTER – On Saturday, March 26, close to 100 community members turned out to Congregation Beth Israel to attend BI’s Annual Purim Extravaganza.

BI Purim cards

George and Nadia Kaminski and their kids, dressed up as playing cards, won in BI’s Family-Themed Costume category.

After a Shabbat-friendly kids’ carnival with games and prizes, organized and run by the USY’ers, and a musical Havdalah with Cantor Jeri Robins and Rabbi Aviva Fellman, the party started. Everyone enjoyed a catered buffet dinner by Sylvia’s Catering with BI’s own homemade hamentashen, a dance party featuring DJ Andy Campbell, and the Costume Contest Parade with prizes for the best costumes.
