Farewell Na’ama and Tal

On June 11, Na’ama Tzur and Tal Salman, the Young Israeli Emissaries of Jewish Federation of Western Mass. departed after serving the community since last September.  Almost 80 people came to their farewell party to congratulate them on a job well done.  During their tenure, Na’ama and Tal worked tirelessly to share their love and knowledge of Israel. They taught lessons about Israeli culture, language, history, the Israel Defense Forces, ecology, and more to students at public high schools, Hebrew schools, Hebrew Day Schools, senior facilities and churches. Everyone who met them fell in love with their warmth and enthusiasm. Their host families will miss them as they have become an integral part of their families.  The kids, whom they lived with and taught, will never forget them. Many have promised to visit them one day in Israel.  Tal and Na’ama brought Israel a little closer to the Western Mass. community, all of whom wish them the best of luck as they head back to Israel and the army service that awaits them.
