David Greenberg, 106, of Worcester, died Oct. 29 at the Jewish Health Care Center. He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl (Kaplan) Greenberg. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Morris and Rochelle (Segerman) Greenberg. He graduated from St. John’s University, working his way through college as a professional musician. He spent his career as a CPA and partner in the accounting firm of Burris, Greenberg and Harris in New York. After retirement, he lived in Delray Beach, Fla. and then Worcester, where he received the Key to the City in 2010.
He is survived by a son, Dr. Martin S. Greenberg and his wife, Patricia, of Philadelphia; a daughter, Carol J. Sleeper and her husband, Michael, of Worcester; his grandchildren, Deborah Greenberg and her husband, Roger Henry, Daniel Greenberg and his wife, Joann, Eric Sleeper and his wife, Kristin, Maxine Sleeper, and Naomi Sleeper; and six great-grandchildren, Rachel and Hannah Henry, Jade and Peytan Greenberg, and Elliot and Penelope Sleeper. He was predeceased by a sister, Doris Iskowitz; and a brother, Fred Greene. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eisenberg Assisted Living – Jewish Healthcare Center or Temple Emanuel Sinai in Worcester.
