Arlene (Lewis) Levy, 79, of Springfield, died Nov. 11. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Levy. Born in Springfield, she graduated from the High School of Commerce before attending the American Institute of Banking. She worked as a banker and as the owner of Arlene L. Levy Printery for more than 20 years. She served as a past president of B’nai Brith Women, Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy PTO, and Mr. and Mrs. Club of the former Kodimoh Synagogue. She served on the Kodima board for 16 years. She also helped as a coordinator with organizations including Open Pantry, the Tay-Sachs Foundation, and March of Dimes, where she was the Mother’s March Chairperson. She is survived by three children, Matthew G. (Dara) Levy of Springfield, Andrew S. Levy of Boston, and Rachel N. Levy of Derby, Conn.; one grandchild, Mirielle; and a sister, Joyce M. (Henry) Gutterman of Windsor, Conn. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy and B’nai Torah. ASCHER-ZIMMERMAN FUNERAL HOME
