Martha Nadelman of Stuart, Fla., formerly of Springfield, died Dec. 2. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Isidor and Yetta Cooper. She was the wife of Ellis Nadelman. She was an honor student at the High School of Commerce, and attended American International College. In her youth she worked  for the city of Springfield and at the Bureau of Old Age Assistance. She worked for many years at the Federal Government in the Engineering Department of the Springfield Armory. She and her husband opened Richard’s Jewelers in Springfield. She was the first village historian for the town of North Palm Beach, Fla. She served as president of the Palm Beach Chapter Brandeis University National Women’s Committee. She was a life member of Hatikvah Haddassah in Palm Beach Gardens. She is survived by three children, Linda Leeds and her husband, Steve, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Richard Nadelman and his wife, Dayna, of Longmeadow, and Sondra Lewis of Huntington; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. ASCHER-ZIMMERMAN FUNERAL HOME
