Gary Gaffin of Worcester was at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport…

Gary Gaffin of Worcester was at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport in terminal 3 trying to get home to Worcester when gunshots were fired in terminal 2 by a lone gunman. Several were wounded and five people were killed. Gaffin and fellow travelers ducked under chairs to hide when they heard the gunfire. He and the others are now sitting on the tarmac as emergency vehicles and police and FBI are investigating. Gaffin said the scene is “total chaos.” With no idea when he will board his plane and fly home, he said it doesn’t matter. “I just want to get home safe.”
