Basketball legend and Israel Goodwill Ambassador Tal Brody presented “On the Map,” the story of Israel’s 1977 European Basketball Championship, which took place at a time when the Middle East was still reeling from the 1973 Yom Kippur War and the 1972 Olympic massacre at Munich. Shown here on the PVJFF’s opening night are, from left to right, Carlin Trietsch, PVJFF co-director; Michael Paysnick, Springfield JCC Executive Director; Betsy Bertuzzi, Springfield JCC President; Tal Brody; Paul Lambert, Basketball Hall of Fame VP of Enshrinement and Community Engagement; and Deb Krivoy, PVJFF co-director.
