Ardelle R. (Ruby) Richton, 94, of Longmeadow, died March 15 at the Jewish Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Frederick Richton. She was born in Boston and graduated from the Boston school system in 1940. She attended the North Adams State Teacher’s College. She was the owner of Ardelle’s Caterers, and had also worked for Mass Mutual, the Coachlight Dinner Theatre, and at Elmcrest C.C. as a bridal consultant. She was a president of the entire Brighton Association condo complex and a tour guide for All Size World Tours. She was a member of Hadassah, the Daughters of the Nile, the Jewish War Veterans Auxilliary, and was very active with the Girl Scouts. She is survived by three children, Steven Richton and his wife, Sandra, Arthur Richton and his wife, Elizabeth, and Sheila Richton and her husband, Frank; eight grandchildren, Daniel, Bryan, Jennifer, Michael, Marc, Benjamin, Paul, and David; and six great-grandchildren, Ella, Gabriella, Mac, Devyn, Samuel, and Tyler. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Geriatric Services.
