Burton A. Shaker of Boynton Beach, Fla., has died. He was the husband of Dorothy Shaker. Born and raised in Springfield, he was the son of Morris and Sophie Shaker. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts and Boston University School of Law with honors. He was a senior editor of the law review. He entered the U.S. Air Force as a lieutenant where he served in the JAG Dept. He was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the Lackland Air Force Base Commander. He practiced law for 38 years in Lawrence and Andover. He was a director of Temple Emanuel in Lawrence, in addition to being president of its brotherhood and chairman of a United Jewish Appeal drive. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Leonard Shaker; a daughter, Barbara Ben Ami; six grandchildren, Maydan, Jonathan, Amit, Dana, Lauren and Boaz; two great-grandchildren, Naveh and Itamar; and sisters, Anne (Shaker) Robinson and Jeanne (Shaker) Eber.
