Ralph Herman, 93, of Worcester, died July 30 in the Jewish Healthcare Center. He was the widower of Evelyn Ann (Blatt) Herman. Born in Worcester, he was the son of Abraham and Gertrude Herman. He was a salesman of office supplies and worked many years for Palley Office Supply and Palson’s and later for Staples, until his retirement. He was a member of Temple Emanuel Sinai, the Knights of Pythias and was a member of Quinsigamond Lodge of Masons. He was an active volunteer as a performing clown for Althea Grotto. He is survived by a son, Stuart Herman of Worcester; a son-in-law, Ronald Swers of Rockville, Md.; two grandsons, Jeffrey and Andrew Swers; and four great-grandchildren, Alexander, Lisa, Isaac and Jacob Swers. He was predeceased by a daughter, Gwen Swers; a brother, Harold Herman; and a sister, Minnie Sclar.
