Harry Kaplan of Holyoke died July 24th at the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Kaplan. Born in Springfield, he was the son of the late Rebecca and Abraham Kaplan. He graduated from Commerce High School in Springfield. He entered World War II service in the Air Force Cadet program, serving from October 1943 through March 1946. Following his military service, he received his degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. He managed several Springfield area pharmacies before being appointed the chief pharmacist at Westover Air Force Base Hospital, from which he eventually retired with distinction. He is survived by his siblings, Sam and Janet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
