Annette (Cohen) Chernick of Longmeadow died Oct. 1 at the Jewish Nursing Home. She was the widow of Sidney “Chet” Chernick. Born in Hartford, Conn., she moved to Springfield in 1949. She was the owner of Annette’s Beauty Salon in Hartford. She was a member of the Disabled Veterans’ Auxilliary, Hadassah, the Springfield JCC and its Foxes & Belles, and the former Congregation B’nai Jacob. She is survived by a son, Michael Chernick, and his wife, Anne Gurland Chernick; a daughter, Barbara Chernick Leshin and her husband, Steven; four grandchildren, Jacob Chernick, Zachary Chernick, Abigail Chernick and Robert Leshin; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Irving Coblens and Robert Coblens; and two sisters, Ruth Hershkovitz and Eleanor Neuman.
