SPRINGFIELD – IDF Major General (Res.) Noam Tibon will discuss “Israel’s Security in Uncertain Times: A Two-State Solution, Iran, and More,” on Sunday, Nov. 12 from 4-5:30 p.m., at the Springfield JCC, 1160 Dickinson St.
The event is co-sponsored by J Street of Western Mass. and the Springfield JCC.
Major General (Res.) Noam Tibon is the CEO of Tracense Technologies and the chairman of the board of Tel Aviv Global. Major General Tibon served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for 35 years, and is one of Israel’s top experts in counter-terrorism. He began his distinguished military career in the IDF special forces, and later held a number of senior command positions, including Commander of the 202 Paratroopers Battalion, the Nahal Brigade, the West Bank Division, and the Northern Formation.
His talk will focus on Israel’s security in time of uncertainty, especially as it relates to a diplomatic resolution of the Palestinian conflict.
Major General Tibon’s speaking engagement is being coordinated by the group Commanders for Israel’s Security (http://en.cis.org.il), and he represents the IDF through their outreach program called Our Soldiers Speak (http://oursoldiersspeak.org/main/presenters/).
