Blossom R. (Gurwitz) Zabarsky, 96, of Worcester died at Saint Vincent Hospital on Dec. 29. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Zabarsky. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of William and Ida (Snyder) Gurwitz. She graduated from Classical High School and Framingham State Teacher’s College. She taught home economics for two years prior to her marriage. She was a member of Temple Emanuel and its Sisterhood, Worcester Chapter of Hadassah, Worcester Art Museum and was a life member of The Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish Healthcare Center. She is survived by a daughter, Marsha Zabarsky of Jamaica Plain; a daughter-in-law, Temie Zabarsky of Phoenix; a son-in-law, Jay Kaminsky of Newington, Conn.; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Alan P. Zabarsky; a daughter, Donna H. Kaminsky; and two brothers, Dr. Arnold Gurwitz and Harvey Gurwitz.
