Lillian (Shapiro) Jacobson, 98, formerly of Clinton, died July 3 at the Linda Manor Extended Care Facility in Northampton. She was the wife of the late Manuel “Manny” Jacobson. Born and raised in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Cherovsky) Shapiro and had lived for over 60 years in Clinton. She was a life member of Shaarai Zedeck Synagogue and its Sisterhood in Clinton and a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Worcester Jewish Healthcare Center and the Leominster Chapter of Hadassah. With her husband Manny she owned and operated Manny’s Market in Clinton for many years. She volunteered for many organizations in Clinton and was honored by Meals on Wheels for her service. She is survived by two sons, Alan J. Jacobson of Watertown and David L. Jacobson and his wife, Debbie, of Belchertown; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Celia Shapiro and Evelyn Bailin and her brothers, Martin, Bernard, Nathan and Hyman Shapiro.
