Miriam Pilver, 92, of Longmeadow, died Sept 11. She was the widow of Morris Pilver. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Ida and Max Perlmutter. She was a graduate of the High School of Commerce and worked as a bookkeeper and retail merchandiser at Youth Centre, Inc., Morse Shoe Corp. and Hallmark Cards. She was a member of Sinai Temple, B’nai Jacob Synagogue, the Jewish Community Center, the Silver Foxes and Belles, The Sunshiners, the Ms. Senior Mass. Cameo Club and participated in many JCC Players musical productions. She was also a volunteer at the Jewish Nursing Home and Temple Beth El “Ties that Bind” Program. She is survived by two children, Sandy Pilver Cohen of Ocean, N.J., and Barry Pilver and his wife, Joan, of Narragansett, R.I. and Sarasota, Fla.; three grandchildren, Amy Chamberlain, David Chamberlain, and Jeremy Pilver and his wife, Katie; and a sister-in-law, Anne Smith. She was predeceased by four brothers, Dick, Harry, Isadore and David Perlmutter. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow or to Spectrum Hospice Services at 770 Converse St., Longmeadow, Mass. 01106.
