Joyous Tu B’Shevat Seder at SOZ

HOLYOKE – In celebration of Tu B’Shevat, members of Congregation Sons of Zion in Holyoke enjoyed a bountiful seder feasting on colorful, sweet and unusual selections of fruits and nuts. In addition to leading joyous singing and dancing, Rabbi Perlmutter discussed the origins of the holiday. The seder focused on the Kabbalistic teaching that our giving blessings of appreciation for the bounty of the trees can serve as a way to help restore divine energy to the trees, enabling them to continue to bear fruit.
