Toby B. Feinstein, 92, of Longmeadow, died Feb. 8. She was the widow of Paul Rechtschafer and Abraham B. Feinstein. The daughter of the late Harry and Ida Berger, she grew up in Mattapan and Dorchester. A graduate of Boston University College of Liberal Arts, she worked as a social worker for the Boston Jewish Vocational Service, assisting in the settlement of New Americans. She was an active member of Temple Beth El in Springfield, where she was a co-chair of the sisterhood Torah Fund committee for many years, raising funds for the Jewish Theological Seminary. She is survived by a daughter, Joan (Rechtschafer) Brooslin and her husband, Michael; stepchildren Lauren Pearl and her husband, Jeff, Scott Feinstein and Michele Feinstein; three grandchildren, Alison Brooslin, Edward Pearl and Lisa Pearl; four nephews, William Snapper, Howard Snapper, Charles Feinstein and Michael Feinstein; and two nieces, Lori Snapper Becker and Valerie Frost-Lewis. She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy (Lou) Snapper.
