Edith (Dolitsky) Post, 98, formerly of Holyoke, died Feb. 25. She was predeceased by her husband, Milton Macy Post. She received both her B.S. and Masters in Social Work from Boston University. She went on to work at the Springfield Child Guidance Clinic, the New York Psychiatric Institute, NYC, and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. When World War II ended, she assisted Holocaust survivors in New York City. She served as the Coordinator of Community and Family Resources at the Mount Holyoke College Learning Disabilities Center. In addition, she was the school adjustment counselor for both the Holyoke Public Schools and the South Hadley School System. She was a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW), the Massachusetts Academy of Psychiatric Social Workers, as well as the Holyoke, Massachusetts, and Hampden County Teacher’s Associations. She was a lifelong member of Congregation Rodphey Sholom. She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Judith S. Post and Dr. Andrea P. Rae; two sons-in-law, Dr. Neal Yudkoff and Douglas Rae; four grandchildren, Seth (Amanda), Rachel (Jim), Ben (Becca), and Sunny (Adam); and six great-grandchildren, Eric, Noah, Baila, Will, Theo, and Max.
