Five local students awarded B’nai Brith Queen Esther scholarships

WORCESTER – Five area students were award scholarships by the B’nai Brith’s Queen Esther Scholarship Fund Committee in conjunction with The Probus Club of Worcester. The named scholarships are in the names of Gerald Langarten; Florence, Sidney and Jeffrey Medlinsky; Jordan Robbins, and Probus of Worcester.   

The scholarships were a competitive award based on character, involvement in the Jewish community and scholarship.  

The following students received awards: Evan Tall, son of Sandy and David Tall from Leominster and student at Gann Academy; Sarah Cohen, daughter of Lisa and Marc Cohen of Worcester and student at Doherty Memorial High; Daniel Wahle, son of Ellen and Bruce Wahle of Worcester and student at Doherty Memorial High;  Ashley Hayes, daughter of  Susan and Ron Hayes of Auburn and student at Auburn High; and Julia Traiger, daughter of Laura and Richard Traiger of Worcester and student at Doherty Memorial High.
