Seymour (“Sy”) S. Bolinsky, 86, of Leominster, died Nov. 20 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the husband of Shirley (Levine) Bolinsky. For many years he was a salesman and sales manager in the plastics industry, working for innovators like Bogene, Scovill. He served as vice president of sales for Tamor before he retired. He had been an active member of Congregation Agudat Achim in Leominster. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, serving on the aircraft carriers USS Antietam and USS Shangri-La. In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by a son, Connecticut State Rep. Mitch Bolinsky and his wife, Luisa, of Newtown, Conn.; a daughter, Joyce Fountaine of Green Valley, AZ; five grandchildren, Rachel Bolinsky, and her husband, Adam Morrone, of Oakville, Conn., Matthew Bolinsky of Newtown, Conn., Josh Fountaine, and his wife, Amy, of Cedar Grove, Wis., Jeremy Fountaine and his partner, Amanda Cox, of Seattle, Wash., and Ally Fountaine, and her husband, Tom Engel, of Port Washington, Wis.;  and one great-grandson, Logan. He was predeceased by three sisters, Anna Warren, Teresa Biskin and Evelyn Stiar, all of the Bronx.
