The Sweet Sounds of SOZ

HOLYOKE – The Sweet Singers of Zion chorus from Congregation Sons of Zion in Holyoke rocked the house for the second year in a row at the Community Thanksgiving Service held at St. Peter’s Church in Holyoke. The audience clapped and sang along when the SOZ group performed two upbeat versions of songs giving praise to God. Faith leaders from the community offered words of thanks, prayers, and encouragement. Rabbi Saul Perlmutter of Sons of Zion shared a story from last week’s Parsha, explaining how one can have adversity in life and still have an excellent life – that it is not only the “good” times we should cherish, but also the “challenging” as well that gives our lives full meaning and grace.
